BAMHUB has worked with Giorgetti in Luxembourg across different projects over the years.
Part of that collaboration brought us together with their interior design teams to explore residential concepts across a wide range of apartments and living environments.
The spaces could have very different purposes: a private home, a long-term rental or a short-term stay.
And that changes much more than the way an interior should look.
Our role was to bring another perspective into the concept development process.
We looked at the spaces from the point of view of the people who would eventually live in them.
What happens when someone arrives?
Where does a coat or a suitcase go?
How naturally can someone move between the entrance, kitchen and living areas?
Where is storage actually needed?
How should lighting respond to different moments of the day?
And what changes when someone will live there for three nights rather than three years?
These practical details became part of the design thinking from the beginning.
A private residence and a short-term rental may contain the same basic rooms, but they do not create the same experience.
Short stays need to feel immediately intuitive. Longer stays need to remain practical over time. Private homes have to respond much more closely to individual habits and expectations.
Together with Giorgetti's teams, we explored those differences across numerous residential projects, developing concepts that could combine atmosphere, functionality and the realities of everyday use.
The objective was not simply to make spaces attractive.
They had to make sense once someone actually started living in them.
The concepts also had to work beyond the design stage.
Layouts, furniture, lighting, circulation and practical details were considered with the people who would eventually have to turn those ideas into physical spaces.
That collaboration helped connect the experience we wanted to create with the realities of construction and implementation.
Across different apartments and uses, the principle remained the same:
design the space around what people will actually do there, not only around how it will look.
