AGC's transport division develops glazing solutions for different railway manufacturers around the world.
This created a particular challenge when presenting its products.
Using an existing train would immediately associate the presentation with a specific manufacturer. AGC needed a realistic railway environment that could showcase different glazing technologies without belonging to any particular customer or brand.
So we created one.
BAMHUB developed an original, manufacturer-neutral train concept specifically for AGC.
It needed to feel realistic and familiar while remaining flexible enough to accommodate different glazing products and applications.
We developed the concept from the ground up, modelled the train in detail and created animations to show AGC technologies directly in the environment where they would be used.
This allowed customers to understand the products in context without the presentation being associated with a particular train manufacturer.
The work extended to the complete visual environment around it.
We considered how the train should be presented, how the different technologies could be discovered and even how the surrounding scenery could contribute to the experience.
AGC's Japanese origins inspired subtle details in some of the environments, including cherry blossoms.
These elements were never simply requirements to execute. They emerged as we developed the concept and looked for ways to make the complete experience more coherent and distinctive.
The result became a flexible visual asset that AGC could use across different products and commercial situations.
The train could support sales teams and be adapted for presentations, websites, brochures, animations and other customer-facing materials.
Rather than repeatedly adapting existing trains to explain its technologies, AGC had its own neutral environment in which different solutions could be presented consistently.
The train was not the starting point. It was the answer to a commercial constraint: how to show different AGC technologies in their real context without making the presentation specific to any one manufacturer.
